This solar-power assisted mountain home on 35 private fenced and gated acres provides a beautiful Pikes Peak view that you can enjoy from the south-facing covered deck!

Mountain Sun Cabin features awesome views, including one of the best Pike’s Peak views around. Hike the property or lounge on one of two decks and enjoy the solitude with plenty of visiting wildlife, including the large Elk herd on the adjacent 1200-acre ranch.

Enjoy total seclusion only 1.5 miles from US Hwy 24 on a well maintained county road; 6.5 miles from Woodland Park, a town of 7,500 which provides several grocery stores and numerous restaurants; 30 minutes away from Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs with many tourist-oriented activities and shopping. This property is shared with Elk Spring Cabin yet they can not be seen from each other. You can reserve both homes on the property for a larger group.

“Bag a 14er” by climbing Pikes Peak, or hike many different nearby trails of all challenges. World-class fly fishing, mountain biking, unsurpassed Colorado snow skiing and white water rafting are all nearby! You can also try your luck gambling at the historic Cripple Creek Mining District, a beautiful 20 mile drive away.

Built in 2009, this custom home has many upgrades including hickory cabinets with granite countertops in the kitchen and both baths, stainless steel appliances, tile and wood floors in living room and kitchen, bedrooms with carpeting, in floor heat, 50” flat screen TV with surround sound, Wi-Fi, 2 decks (one covered), and much more.

You’re certain to have a great and unforgettable Colorado vacation for just the two of you or for the whole family!

We do keep the driveway well plowed of snow in the winter, however the driveway does have a few ups and downs, so we do recommend 4 wheel drive in the winter.

What Our Guests Are Saying

What a beautiful place to relax and get away from the hustle of the city! This cabin provides beautiful panoramic views from the large windows facing south. The cabin was well-maintained and clean. The kitchen had what we needed to cook for the weekend. The master bed was very comfortable and we loved waking up to the view out the window. The hot tub was so nice to relax in the mornings and fun to star gaze at night. We had an amazing view of the moon traveling across the southern sky and the stars were mesmerizing. The property is very private, and we appreciated the quiet space to unwind and relax. It was just the two of us, but would be very comfortable for a family. Lots of fun activities and adventures in the surrounding area. I highly recommend staying here if you want to explore this area or just need a quiet escape!

We had a amazing time relaxing with the views and fireplace. The house is tucked nicely in the mountains but very close to food/shopping and 20mins to Manitou Springs. Both rooms were clean and large with separate bathrooms. The laundry area was awesome for us and we cooked in at night. Saw some paw prints in the snow we though could have been coyote or bobcat tracks and saw a coyote. The owners were very responsive when messaged, and were very diligent in plowing (but I would advise having a 4x4 for the mountains, as we did). We had a lovely time and would certainly visit again!
